Prepping for show season

Those of you who know me know that I am all about my family and taking pictures.  I have wanted to start my own livestock photography business on a larger scale for years.  Well my dream has finally came true.  I have joined forces with two of the best girls I know.  Stacy Pearce and I met when my sister introduced me to this curly haired, introverted young lady only to realize that her brother was such a good friend of mine thru FFA.  She is so talented and creative and she keeps me grounded.  She loves me even when I am loud and over the top.  Then came Kari Wendt!  I had just got the bid for OYE and was in need of an editing manager.  Chelsey said "she is a lot like you, so you will either love each other or hate each other."  She knows what I am going to say before I get it out of my mouth.  She always does without question and she always "Makes it happen".  I tell you all of that because my girls and I have built Final Drive Design and we booked the 2015 Arkansas State Fair.  Which means I am going to be gone for a solid 2 weeks in October and I wanted my family to eat better then pizza and corn dogs.

I went grocery shopping today to prep for all of this, I thought it was a great time to shop no kids, no crowd,  well the unload and put up was not a great idea.

Well first I cooked 8lbs of hamburger and drained it.  All of this was for 4 pans of lasagna and 1 crock pot of spaghetti (recipe posted in the state fair post)

I did not use lasagna noodles because I forgot to buy them so I used 3 packages of shell noodles.

Layer the bottom of the pans with noodles
Layer with hamburger
Layer with sauce of your choice
Layer with cottage cheese
Layer with mozzarella  cheese  and
Repete

I used: 6 lbs of hamburger
3 large jars of sauce of your choice
2 large tubs of  of cottage cheese
2 large bags of mozzarella cheese
I would say 3 boxes of lasagna noodles.
This made 4 pans and I wrote on the foil with directions
Cook @350 for 30 min and then remove foil, add more cheese and cook an additional 15 min.

I have another 8lbs of hamburger thawing for meatloaf.  Watch for that post coming soon.
