All American Sheep Show Meal Prep
I am really not ready for this long trip to East Lansing Michigan for the All American Sheep Show. 14 hours and 16 minutes in a truck with kids, MY KIDS. I might loose my mind. Thankfully we are taking two vehicles and the boys can be separated.
Today I am going to show you how I prepare all of my meat before hand. I am a work smarter not harder kinda girl. I am always on the move and need to be doing more then one thing at a time so I mastered the way I cook my hamburger and sausage without having to slave over the stove. The handy dandy crock pots. I have already had multiple text messages, phone calls and emails about if I will be there with my kitchen, so I will be cooking in large quantities. I will be cooking 10 lbs of ground hamburger and 10 lbs ground sausage.

The first thing I do is place as many frozen bricks of meat into the crock pot as I can and then I fill it with water and some chopped onion and minced dried garlic. I do not have to season the ground sausage because that was done during processing. All of the meat used is home grown and proud of it. Turn the crock pot to high and off I go to now the yard and in 4 hours my yard is mowed and my meat is cooked.
Just to give you an idea on what's for breakfast and dinner while we are there or to just give you a little incentive to pack up and go with us here is what we will be having.
